so i’ve been in chapel hill since tuesday night. i’ve mostly spent this time shopping, packing, playing with dylan and lounging. it’s been restful, i haven’t even really seen any of my friends here and i won’t have any time to before my flight to alaska (which is TOMORROW!). dylan is so smart, he can articulate himself better and better every day. he has so many opinions and so many things to say, but also incredibly polite and respectful. he’s so silly and creative, i can’t even imagine the worlds he will create once he’s older.
he’s so affectionate, and whenever i’ve been looking after him, every once in a while he’ll look up at me and give me the most genuine smile i’ve ever seen.. i smile back and it’s the most wonderful pure show of affection and connection and it makes me tear up a bit every time.
but now it’s on to the next thing… i really have no idea what’s in store for me, but i think i’m gonna make it incredible. i’m getting ready for some intense hiking and camping, lots and lots of wildlife and more daylight than i’ve ever had before.
when i return to north carolina i will be moving into The New Perfect Three-Bedroom House, coming back to wonderful friends, and immediately starting my last year of undergrad.
okay- lets goooo
